With the 15th annual Helpmann Awards set to dazzle at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on Monday 27 July, Live Performance Australia (LPA) has today announced that tickets for the Helpmann Awards are now on sale.
Fans are able to join the stars for the premier celebration of Australia’s vibrant live performance industry that recognise the distinguished achievements and excellence in Australia’s live performance sectors, including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre, children’s presentations, regional touring, and cabaret.
LPA Chief Executive, Ms Evelyn Richardson said last year’s Helpmann Awards sold out in record time and that this year will be no exception.
“Audiences are integral to the success and vitality of the live performance industry. It is only fitting they join in the celebration of the Helpmann Awards alongside the industry’s biggest stars.”
“With only a limited ticket allocation, fans of the live performance industry are urged to purchase tickets to the Helpmann Awards today to avoid any disappointment.”
The event is supported by Destination NSW, the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency.
Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer, Sandra Chipchase said people from around Australia should start to plan their trip to Sydney for the Awards.
“Sydney is the creative and cultural capital of Australia, and a wonderful location for the Helpmann Awards. Winter is a great time to be in NSW, and I’d encourage visitors to the Helpmann Awards to take advantage of everything our state has to offer,” Ms Chipchase said.
Ms Richardson said the 2015 Helpmann Awards program is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet.
“The extraordinary calibre of Australia’s live performance industry ensures the Helpmann Awards continue to be a world-class event,” said Ms Richardson.
The 2015 Helpmann Awards will be presented on the set of Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production of Les Misérables which is now playing in Sydney.
Tickets for the 15th annual Helpmann Awards are available now directly from Ticketmaster.
The full program for the 15th annual Helpmann Awards, including award category nominees, will be announced in June.
The Helpmann Awards are proudly supported by the New South Wales Government, through its tourism and major agency, Destination NSW.
